Last week, I wrote a summary of vlogging and nonprofits. Is yours an organization that can realistically attract support from outside your immediate geography? Via the Nonprofit Consultant blog I discovered " Dogooder.tv " which is Youtube for nonprofits. or even on YouTube? What audience are you after?

You need to start by checking out the content that is already being created by citizen journalists and activists about the issues you care about on blogs, podcasts and online video/vlogs. Britt Bravo wrote a post several months back defining the term: people who are using their blog, podcast or vlog to raise awareness, build community, and/or facilitate readers/listeners/viewers' taking action to make the world a better place. I just donated a small amount to his effort! Alex is a great example of a change blogger.

I'm not a regular consumer of vlogs, but I have to say that although I had seen a couple blog posts about the fight for the South Central Farm in Los Angeles, it was Daryl Hannah's luminous vlog post from the farm that made me take notice, particularly the little girl towards the end who says, You have to save the garden because it is my life.
