I also discovered a group called " I will donate $1 for every person that joins this group to Fight Hunger " which is being organized by some super activists high school kids.). Fight Hunger is doing a lot of experimentation with social media - from their viral video contest to their fundraising event in Second Life.

Museum 2.0

On June 4, we opened The Tech Virtual Test Zone , a new 2000 sq ft gallery at The Tech Museum of Innovation featuring exhibits on the theme of art, film, and music that were originally developed in Second Life by a community of creative amateurs. In Second Life, I am not an expert--but many of our virtual exhibit designers are.

Three out of four of these were on Second Life. We created an Island in Second Life to forward this agenda. We go to WOW server and get a group together. We announced a contest to create a game to address issue in Sudan. We identified four finalists. Peacemaker was the first place winner.

They are hosting a contest to win $10,000K to celebrate their launch. Sixdegrees.org is running a contest with Hanes T-shirts to win $10,000K. The Second Life Community Convention is taking place this weekend in Chicago. The Knight Foundation is sponsoring The Knight News Challenge and they've got $5 million to give away.
