Unlike the others, that are released under varied open source licenses, the code for SQLite is public domain. Its move to becoming an open source DB with a development/community approach similar to MySQL, and 30 years of attentiveness to the Enterprise customer makes it a great resource for Non profits.

I'm very interested in the whole notion of open content and creative commons licensing in the nonprofit space. She told me, "I probably don't have to mention this to you, but you are of course free to put this under a public domain, BY or BY-sa license." The higher your price, the higher your profit.

The good thing is that since the business world seems to be moving ahead much more quickly on Linux and FOSS adoption, companies that work in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors are gaining Linux expertise – expertise that nonprofit organizations can benefit from. But I think more is needed. Ubuntu is based on Debian).
