I slapped a list of blogs in my wiki for me. I'll explain why in a minute) Someone posted the url to a listserv. I put on a wiki for easy maintenance and for whoever stumbles upon it and might find it useful as I believe in open content and open thinking. I have no ownership of the idea either -- so take it, run with it.

If we're thinking of Facebook groups (or listservs for that matter) as online communities, what personalities do you see in the communities you are managing? Alexandra Samuel has a great idea for using twitter - provide updates on how you've changed the world! Wikis Laura Whitehead writes about how to use a wiki as a trainer tool.

The final list will be available over at the client's workspace on Omidyar, a wiki-like space. I'm using some traditional ways to research this topic: -Email to listservs -Posts on online forums -Google search. Tools for VolCom Groups: Blogs, RSS, Tagging, Wikis and Beyond. " I need to start organizing the various pile of UK examples that tagged and grab from various emails and listserv posts. Out of habit, I started off doing the research in my usual ways - posts to listservs, search engine, private emails, and posts to forums. Someone else put the idea out there of placing the information on the nptech.info site. I would fill in the missing pieces and refine with chacha, serach engines, private email, or listserv queries.

We had no idea when we introduced our new Communities of Practice (CoPs ) engagement model that there were be so many questions and concerns, and I think this may be that very "once in a while". The online group includes a listserv email archive, a library, a wiki, a group blog, and a discussion thread platform.
