In 2006, the Aquarium sponsored a letter-writing campaign in the museum, giving visitors an opportunity to send postcards to the governor expressing support for the establishment of marine protected areas on California's central coast. But I'm highly suspicious of most of these. This amounts to messageless activism, which doesn't help anyone.
