I identified a trend forming with social networking, and set up our very first profile. What social media tools are you currently utilizing? We don’t use it like we use Facebook, for advocacy, fundraising, and relationship building. Who maintains your social media campaigns? Are they paid, full-time, part-time?

Please do not run out and start using Upworthy like subject lines on your online advocacy and fundraising appeals. Just like you were never the Obama campaign when their fundraising tactics were all of the rage. Upworthy is a great example of how compelling content can generate a lot of shares and comments on Facebook too.

I use a variety of tools for this analysis, including Google Analytics, Feedburner subscriber counts, and manually tracking comment to post ratios (typepad doesn't have a nifty plugin like wordpress to automate that grunge work) A tool that use to evlauate my content is PostRank.
