Similar to the funders in my previous post on education , the organizations listed below focus their efforts on activities inside and outside of the classroom. Their priorities range from facilitating book donation drives to supporting arts education to funding playground construction and family literacy programs. . Costco Wholesale.

One of the most important social skills they work on in my daughter's classroom? Sharing is important because a) it's just the nice thing to do and b) sharing helps build the classroom community. Sharing the book or toy gives both children the common experience that forms the classroom culture.

The causes that are supported are listed here a good mix of wildlife conservation, hunger, and others. There is a scaling system for Karma points - for example supporting a classroom is five points while sending a book to a library in a developing country is 100. And, of course, you get badges for various activities.

An easy way to support the Nature Conservancy if you're on Facebook is to install (Lil) Green Patch. Or support an organization that does recycling. Gradon Tripp, Boston Blogger, created a fundraiser to support Jane Doe Inc. So, why not give a little something to an organizaiton that supports dogs (and cats), like Best Friends.
