Almost exactly two years ago, the One Laptop Per Child launched. So, the Sharing Foundation has continued to use our method of getting donated laptops in the US, refurbishing them, and getting them to Cambodia. This is my fourth BlogHer Conference. Amy Gahran gave a writing workshop at BlogHer that was very inspiring. I lent her my laptop so wasn't able to take notes at the time, but Amy Lenzo has a great summary on her blog. Flowers in the neighborhood. I look forward to the event because it helps inspire me.

Yesterday, in preparation for a session I'm doing at BlogHer Boston , I created a quiz for folks to self-assess how much information overload was a factor. " Well, it seems that some people Twitter from the toilet with their cell phones and others, if the Internet connection is good, take their laptops with them too.

I often see many people taking notes at conference, either with pen in a moleskin or typing into a laptop. Another example of using a wiki to organize captured notes was Amy Gahran's wiki of all the blog posts and notes from the recent Blogher conference, compiled post-event and facilitated by the use a conference tag.
