From my office in the Boston, I teleported myself into the Virtual World of Second Life and headed straight for the New Media Consortium virtual campus where I joined about 65 other avatars representing educators from all over the world (even Austrailia where it was 3:00 a.m.

In fact, I'll be arriving in a Jetson like transportation and my avatar will probably look a lot like Jane Jetson. . I get the question, "What's next after Twitter?" Using a futuristic body parts metaphor I might add) As part of this, we have to face the question of the degree of openness that a nonprofit organization will embrace.

One person commented that the more interesting question is not how we build a platform for visitor content creation but how we facilitate sharing of that content. There have now been a couple comments on this blog to the effect of: "Visitors already create content in museums through their thoughts and social interactions." Great point.
