By now we all know what hashtags are and how to use them properly, but what are the best nonprofit hashtags? After running about fifty different hashtags based on top ranking nonprofit hashtag lists through Keyhole (a free social media analytics resource) for April 20-27, 2015, the following hashtags yielded the highest amount of reach.

These two tools have been a huge help to a lot of people and businesses, but there are two fatal flaws: they don’t help you to know what the content should be about and they aren’t exactly ideal tools for nonprofits. I knew this change was coming and I had read that Status Updates that receive a lot of comments and thumbs up would at the very least show up in the News Feed > Most Recent, but that’s just not happening. Coincidently, once this change was made, activity on the Nonprofit Organizations Facebook Page declined. That seems fair.
