.&# It’s easy to set up accounts, move mail around, and do sophisticated filtering of mail, and such. I’m using one that allows me to see a calendar (I use it to view my google calendar) – it’s a good quick way within Thunderbird to see if I’m free on a certain day.

So, I’m not giving up on using Linux as my desktop, but I am giving up on using Linux to hold my calendar, addressbook and to do lists. I’m going back to using my mac for that – and installing Spanning Sync to sync google calendar with my mac calendar, so I have a calendar I can use on my desktop.

Lightning , which is a Sunbird calendar plug in, that gives me a calendar integrated with Thunderbird. Mail to, and my absolute favorite Photo Compass. For Thunderbird, the two I’ve been trying out include XNote , which is kinda fun, it allows you to add sticky notes to email messages.

In 2009 Volunteers of America looked to get more out of their online fundraising program by tapping into the power of integrated online and offline fundraising. As a result, online revenue originating from direct mail integration increased from 12% to 28% from 2009 to 2010! Online revenue from 2009 to 2010 increased 148%.

In fact, the end of the calendar year is also a significant source of the funds raised online for nonprofits. Blackbaud studied 1,274 nonprofits to compare their online fundraising results for the first six months of 2008 to the same period of 2009. Online donors are younger and have higher incomes than traditional direct mail donors.

Yesterday, they published the list of organizations that have lost their exemption from paying income tax due to failure to file required reports in 2007, 2008, and 2009. The "Fall Festival" advertised on their homepage is for 2008, and the "events" link opens up to a May 2009 calendar. This is great news. Central Ave.
