Classroom style with desks puts a barrier between the students and the instruction, especially when people are using laptops or tablets to take notes.

The instructor’s role should be to facilitate this understanding for their students, not dump content on them. Students get a minute to think about the question on their own and then answer it using a mobile device that sends their answers to Mazur’s laptop. My teaching style has been influenced by constructivism in short - less "sage on the stage" and "more guide on the side" and that learners should be actively involved in their learning process. I don't believe in the expert as one person, but more as a network. Most importantly, I need a good facilitator for each table.
