As we developed new 3rd Friday community festivals , we were careful to design them as intergenerational experiences. When I first came to the museum, it was not perceived as a family-friendly place. More and more families showed up. Now, families are dominant at 3rd Friday, and some adults feel like "it's a kid thing." And so on.
