The live video feed was being streamed from the Netsquared gathering in San Francisco happening at the same time as the virtual gatherng in Second Life. Jeska Linden , Community Manager for Linden Labs, has the mike in her hand, while her avatar is behind the podium in Second Life. I also turned off my audio.

I got some good feedback and will post some reflections in a bit. I bumped into Millie Garfield who shared some reflections about her "virtual" blogging friends. It was also great to see John Wall a second time this month! She introduced me to a utterz , a micro audio blogging tool. I met her through Jane.

TechSoup holds regular meetings for nonprofits in Second Life and I have been attending regularly and sometimes facilitate like this I did this past week. So, I've been reflecting about effective facilitation of virtual meetings in Second Life Right now the primary method of group interaction is via unmoderated chat interface.

That's my avatar, I'm live blogging from Second Life. From my office in the Boston, I teleported myself into the Virtual World of Second Life and headed straight for the New Media Consortium virtual campus where I joined about 65 other avatars representing educators from all over the world (even Austrailia where it was 3:00 a.m.

Same as the blog, but requires a microphone and some audio editing software. If you are comfortable producing audio content, it's quite simple to start a podcast. What you need is organization, interesting content, a person who can edit audio (which you can do for free with Audacity ), and a place to post it. Then sheesh!
