Laptops and now ultrabooks are much more energy efficient than desktop computers, and so in that aspect, can be regarded as green IT devices. Ultrabooks are light, thin, laptop computers with long battery life and that cost under $1,000. Ultrabooks are full laptops, with good performance packed in a highly portable form.

The Saskatoon Public Library opened its doors to these evacuees, and staff members stepped up their efforts to help the evacuees communicate with their family and friends. Staffers also let people from outside of Saskatoon check out books from the library and access other services. Educating the Public on Disaster Preparedness.

Basically, it allows one computer to serve several people in a lab or library at very low cost and with minimum maintenance. Burlington Public Library was one of our test installation sites. It is a medium-sized library about 60 miles north of Seattle in northern Washington State. Installation Date: September 13, 2012.

It is a small, rural library that serves 5,000 people in the Skagit Valley in northern Washington State. She became the library tech person by default.
