Yesterday was the second day for a meeting with a community of practice of people interested in network effectiveness convened by Monitor Institute. I heard first hand from Eugene Eric Kim about strategic planning at Wikipedia. As he shared the story, I had some questions about weaving offline/online collaboration within networks.

The first example of direct content is the use of Wikipedia during the 7/7 bombings in London. Millions of editors on Wikipedia and it’s rise in public use was climbing. I've been in Washington, DC for the Network Effectiveness and Social Media Strategy Map working session for Packard Foundation Grantees convened by Monitor Institute. The Core are people who do most of the work (think wikipedia editors.) The paper discusses network weaving techniques to help evolve a more effective network.
