Helping Our Peers: Asked two local government entities to apply for a grant for a program but they said no. Got permission to apply and after the two government entities did not receive the grant, rose above the personal politics and offered to share the funding. Taking the high road in partnerships always works. Test your assumptions.

While I was offline today enjoying Mother's Day and the beautiful weather (as much as I could with seasonal allergies), Target launched its version of an online contest. There have been many remixes of online contests since the Giving Challenge, so many that I can't quite remember all of them.

With just a couple of clicks, anyone can register their own fundraiser and raise money to help CityTeam with combating hunger and homelessness in their city. Social fundraisers. Memorial fundraisers.

Check out Train for Humanity that weaves together getting fit, social media, and raising funds for charity. If you're a blogger, you can run a comment for a donation contest. And, yes they did !

Larry and Toby Milstein threw a virtual gala, aptly named “Zoomtopia,” which benefited the World Health Organization ’s COVID-19 Response Fund and the International Medical Corps.
