The content is important, but it is only half of the instructional design task. Human attention peaks at about about 12 minutes, particularly if it is a lecture. The learners will space out and come back to attention but not as at the high level at they did at the beginning of the presentation.

Energizers are typically done right after lunch and during mid-afternoon breaks, when energy tends to be low, but they can be done any time.
