In the past, I've highlighted a few--like 826 Valencia and the Denver Community Museum --that I think have already influenced the way many traditional cultural organization do business. Both staff and visitors host TV programs in the space that range from interviews to game shows to salon chair ministries.

Sure, it's social, but people stick to their own "pods"--families, teens, adults--and don't diverge or merge. But it's the same inhibition that allows otherwise shy people to dance with strangers at clubs--for some people, loud music and a less intimate setting are opportunities for social interaction rather than limiters.

Museums and other venues are offering special programs for teens, for hipsters, for people who want a more active or spiritual or participatory experience.
