Yesterday, I had lunch with Monica Martinez, the ED of Homeless Services for Santa Cruz county. I was amazed not only by her energy and intelligence but by her simple, transformative goal: to end homelessness. Monica is trying to reposition her organization as a social justice organization working on solutions to end homelessness.

This can be especially true when people come from very religious and conservative backgrounds. In many cases, teens who have come out are rejected by their families and become homeless. Not a place to sleep, but a place where people will love and support each other. . The Pride Center offers a home.
