Because we're becoming so dependent on product from China and other countries, it's imperative that we have more farmers. As the government funding for parks declines, they're looking for people to care-take that land, essentially. So, that's one of my next things is, do I want to farm, and how is that going to happen?

She caught my attention because she founded an organization that works with orphaned and disabled children in Kenya. She lived in China for 8 months with her 2 young children. Assigning volunteers to work with vetted organisations allows us to fully verify the organization's commitment to the children.

So, we work with a village in China that grows the bamboo along the river, and every two years that bamboo shoots up about 20 feet, and they have a whole way of working with the trees there where they'll just cut them down, use them, and it will replenish itself. They have also put together a child care center. We are proud to do that.
