Back in May we gave readers a sneak peek, thanks to WP Beginner editorial staff, of what was coming down the line with WordPress 4.8. Frequent users of WordPress will at once recognize a new element that they’ve been asking for: Media Widgets. In the previous article we mentioned the addition of a Visual Editor widget for text.

Manipulate that Widget. Divided into boxes known as “dashboard widgets,” by clicking on “Screen Options” you can show or hide them as well as drag and drop them into an arrangement of your choosing on the dashboard. Speaking of widgets, even WordPress beginners are aware of how easy it is to drag and drop them into their sidebars.
