In fact, I'll be arriving in a Jetson like transportation and my avatar will probably look a lot like Jane Jetson. . As an outside observer, the lessons that I took away from this effort were: Having people change their avatar to a pea photo gave a visual clue to the campaign and helped it spread. What is missing is some software or features that track the flow of your donations, almost like doing a social network analysis similar to Twitinfluence.

Virtual worlds are a communication medium in which people use avatars (animated characters) to interact and have shared experiences in a 3D environment. How do you measure success of a project like this in Second Life? You would measure it in the same way you measure the success of an exhibit or a museum.

It's time to go beyond listening and responding and get into several key areas: monitoring , running bold campaigns , adding video , and fundraising in online social networks.
