While a business would not trust its finances to an intern, it should only trust its social media to a full-time member of its marketing team. Therefore, take the time to make sure there is brand consistency among all social platforms (logos, avatars, business "about" descriptions, etc.). Third, there is the "social media ROI" mistake.

Last week, I met an avatar named Budley Omegamu who turned out to be Sombit Mishra who is a Technology Associate at GlobalGiving. He coordinates web development, donor traffic and analytics, and technical marketing for the team. I didn't know Sombit until I met him - as they say - "in-world" in Second Life.

In fact, I'll be arriving in a Jetson like transportation and my avatar will probably look a lot like Jane Jetson. . I had joked with Jerry that one downside is the inability to remember our calendar - and that with this socialness will our friends eventually collaborately remind us of our appointments. (It It was funny at the time).
