The other realm of stuff that I know some about is video. Itunes/Quicktime comes native with MacOS, and Windows Media Player for Windows. Which is perhaps why the other major proprietary video player, Real Player , has had such a hard time catching on for all of these years. It plays everything.

Here's qik video of what it was like: I will be doing some video blogging, brief interviews with 5 of the 21 featured projects. Well, off to double check my compression settings for QuickTime. He documented it on film several versions are available, including a higher quality quicktime - The Water Buffalo Movie. It is a terrific example of story telling and use of video as tool to support a personal fundraising campaign.

Lack of technical skills or software tools in cutting, splicing, fading the audio and weaving it with the video track. Here I found phosphor by Francesco Stablum and decided to incorporate it into the video I created to practice my music skills. They also suggested picking the music first if making a music video.

Editing The best pieces I read so far about video editing that gets a novice up and started quickly is in the book Secrets of Videoblogging by Michael Verdi and Ryanne Hodson. I'm stuck for now on a Windows XP platform (can't afford to invest in Mac but will eventually), so the free video editing program is MovieMaker.
