I often tell folks that making a practice of self-editing is a great way to level up : finish your draft (email appeal, social media post, video script, or whatever else), walk away from it for a minute, and then go back and make changes as an editor would. Eliminate, or clarify, any jargon or Official Language that may be opaque to readers.
