Food for me is something that impacts all of our lives, and it was a place where I could focus the most of my energy and really impact community, environment, health, soil, air, social equity issues, community building, and how we do, or do not interact with each other. They're also providing a lot of jobs locally.

I think at the national level we're always going to have The New York Times , CNN, and The Washington Post to do national investigations, but what we really are threatened to lose in the next year to five years is local investigations and local reporting. They have a magazine called Race, Poverty and Environment Magazin e.
