It’s likely going to be another long one, so for those of you who just want it short and bittersweet, here it is: I will be leaving Fight Colorectal Cancer at the end of this year to join Convio’s Common Ground team. Colorectal cancer isn’t the death sentence it was in 1998 when my father was diagnosed.

And I tell my students that Ill give to any of the worthy causes they pour their hearts into, but they have to ask me in person (not on Facebook)! As the old adage goes, "people give to people, not causes." Currently (on my lowly grad student budget), I only give money to one nonprofit org. Great advice!
