Giving Tuesday is a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season added to the calendar on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. The second annual GivingTuesday is on December 3rd and we''ve found 124 NTEN Members that are participating!

This 15-year initiative aims to tackle 17 areas of need across the world, from eradicating hunger to fostering responsible production and consumption to ensuring everyone has access to a quality education.

Winner: Children International. Used TeamRaiser to recruit new sponsors and recuited 5,000 sponsors since 2005 and sponsored over 560 children. Each year, Defenders sends out Calendars. With a simple and compelling concept, they asked their supporters what calendar would like. Created a wall of 5,000 signers' photos.

But in many places around the world, children can't attend school because there isn't a school building, teachers, or supplies. September is Hunger Awareness Month so why not give a donation of canned goods and cash to your local food bank?
