The reason was because many participants in the room were participating from both Second Life and the room in San Jose, and they are doing so, in avatar form. Avatars are virtual alter egos, that are our embodiment (not always human, as I noted) in a virtual world.

The exhibition I'm curating for The Tech Museum of Innovation is opening and we are hosting a summit on June 4 (in real life and in Second Life ) for museum professionals to discuss the process by which it was created. In March, we selected the best of the virtual exhibits for translation into the real world.

3) Creating a webpage on our website specifically for the social media community and offer Twitter backgrounds, avatars, copy and paste status updates/tweets and downloads for people to use and share. (4) I do social media reporting at the large events with the objective of creating a virtual experience for those who cannot attend.
