(Click through to the larger version to read the poster) I've been going to meetings on information island at the TechSoup area in Second Life where a small group of avatars interested in nonprofits and Second Life have been busy working on some exciting plans lead by Susan Tenby of TechSoup.

Virtual Environment and Avatars: Virtual learning environments bring the social interaction part of traditional classroom training into the e-learning world. Organizations are using virtual training coach also called avatar, who engages with the learners like a real human being.

The particular issue that concerns Hiroshi right now is the Second Life problem, 3D avatar immersive environments. To some disability groups, Second Life is wonderful. Of course, Second Life is completely inaccessible to blind people right now.

It's a busy time in Second Life , particularly for libraries, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. If you haven't yet checked out Seond Life and want to experience a "serious" activity, there are celebration events taking place throughout the week on Information Island. Got that?)
