Our group of advisors includes 20 impressive women from 8 technology companies who are sharing their skills and expertise with local women entrepreneurs help them to scale their businesses.

While the stories were varied, we also heard a lot of resounding similarities: the richness of the cultures, the importance of family, and how much overlap there is between foods and cultures within the Hispanic community. .

Last week I was got to work on a week-long service trip in Cusco, Peru as part of Wake: Women’s Alliance for Knowledge Exchange #Tech2empower program where womwn in who work in technology volunteer to share their professional skills and knowledge with women-run business owners. That is what the #Tech2Empower program is all about!

It was great to have a co-trainer who knew the subject matter, fluent in English, and who understood group facilitation skills and training approaches. This was very helpful because traditional translation does not help you read the group or adjust on the spot. I do not speak Spanish.
