BBBS has affiliates located all across the country and in many communities like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern New Mexico.

Project Linus coordinates volunteers to sew, knit and quilt handmade blankets for seriously ill and traumatized children. Project Sweet Dreams is a community based Roots and Shoots campaign organized by a friend of mine, Debra Rosenman, to raise awareness about biomedical lab chimps. Today in the United States, 25 percent of children under age 5 are Hispanic; by 2050, that percentage will be almost 40 percent. Right now he is the Executive Director of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation in Santa Fe. Oh yeah, and he used to organize a CROP walk almost every year in our town to raise money for local hunger agencies. Their site goes live Dec. 1 at www.leadwithexperience.org.
