There was a $25 donation from Samathida Kem, the daughter of Kem Sokha, a human rights leader in Cambodia. Their father was released from prison several weeks later and organized a Freedom of Expression Rally in Cambodia.

My 53rd birthday wish was to raise money for the Sharing Foundation to send 53 Cambodian Youngsters to school by covering the cost of their uniforms ($10 per child). We crushed that goal and raised $4,540 because of your generosity in donating and calling attention to the birthday wish. But it is late, and time for bed!

In Roteang Village, where the Sharing Foundation has programs that help over 1,500 children each and every day, there was a birthday bash at the orphanage for the 70 plus children. We raised $6,158 from 157 donors! This is my 7th personal fundraising campaign using social media tools to help the children of Cambodia.
