I’ve had a lot of experience with online contests, both as a participant (winner) and working two reflection papers for the Case Foundation ‘s America’s Giving Challenge. I said that I wished contest designers would take a Hippocratic Oath to do no harm to nonprofits! Designate a cheer leader.

Auctions Auctions are a major source of funding for a lot of nonprofit associations because they engage the competitive spirits of supporters. Of course, they’re also challenging to manage as you’re handling the donations of items on one end and funds on the other. Organizations can gain funds through entry fees and individual pledges.

I was struck, looking at the Amazon page for the book, by one of its negative reviews. No one would contest the idea that most museum exhibitions, art shows, films, books, in short, most content experiences, have value both for the new and return user.
