That ethos continued until the last three years or so with issues in Burma, Iran, and China. In Iran we’ve seen it used to get out information and resist censorship but have also seen it used by the government to alter a mobile phone system and monitoring calls. Technology is amoral – it doesn’t care. Even in China?

We have raised enough to go this far, and develop a web site, and materials, and a video, and some staff and outreach, and we have got 100,000 square feet of office tenants lined up. There are people in positions of power in places like Iran and Washington, D.C. The vision piece of the Global Citizens Center is pretty well worked out.
