Facebook has been a highly effective tool and is the strongest in communicating the message of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, but also allows people to connect and offer support to each other. October 2007 This campaign was for $1,000 to send a young Cambodian woman, Leng Sopharath, to college.

The organization is asking supporters to change their Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook avatars at 1:10 on Friday, March 6th to the "oneten" avatar. One of the events listed is an exhibition of photos at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris from the book Celebrating Women by Paola Gianturco (who I interviewed in October 2007).

Over fifty avatars attended. Next week, while in the UK and on a laptop that won't support the Second Life client (there are access problems), the Berkman Center will present a highlight of this course - a virtual trial ! If you look at the photo closely, you'll notice that Alex replicated her Mac sticker cover for her laptop.
