There are many different real-time search engines that approach search in many different ways. People think that real time is just Twitter and sure enough, some of the search engines put Twitter search front and center. Few search only Twitter, though - there are only about 3 million links shared on Twitter each day.

Google AdWords has a great free tool for assessing the search frequency of your keywords. A well defined RSS feed will keep you up to date without wasting your time going to different sites or repeating the same searches. A regular Twitter stream is more effective than 3 posts a week, all at the same time. Jargon anyone.?
