Recently, I've been thinking and working with the concept of metaphorical design, that is, designing things by modeling them after other things. In 2008, I worked with one museum director for whom the word "wiki" is synonymous with "Wikipedia." This may sound silly--I'm basically suggesting you substitute one metaphor for another.
