With Hurricane threatening a direct hit and potential devastating damage, emergency officials called for a mandatory evacuation — something that hasn’t happened in many years.

Here are some recent examples of their efforts: Maui wildfires: In August 2023, Target donated $1 million to aid response and recovery efforts for one of the worst disasters Hawaii has ever experienced. The donation was distributed to disaster relief organizations like American Red Cross, Hawaii Community Foundation and local food banks.

This year, we have activated kitchens to respond to the volcanoes in Hawaii and Guatemala. We had all these amazing volunteers and food trucks and chefs who had managed their own businesses but lost so much after the hurricane and decided that they wanted to offer their time and resources to WCK.
