First, “NGO” is an acronym meaning “non-governmental organization” whereas “ONG” means “non-governmental organization” in countries where a romance language is spoken i.e., Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian. This has a huge impact on the credibility of the nonprofit sector.

This year we are getting more participants from outside of the United States, but we definitely need more diversity in our survey respondents for the data to truly reflect the global donor community.
