More than $11.8 billion donated in 2021, according to Statistics Canada

Statistics Canada released the 2021 Charitable Giving Data Release noting that tax filers reported giving $11.8 billion, an 11.5% increase over 2020. Median annual charitable donations rose by 5.9% However, the number of donors claiming donations decreased to fewer than 5 million.
