Facebook groups mostly function asynchronously, but a synchronous activity now and again can really rally the troops. Docs are like super-simple wikis, and probably the most truly collaborative aspect of a Facebook group. Docs are great for posting information that you plan to come back to again and again. Monitor accordingly.

The current software does not interface with our current/new technical environment (MS-Exchange and Office, or Google g-mail, calendar, docs, etc.). and the third leg of people – trained, competent, available staff. I'm not going to use anything that requires Windows and I favor things that work in any browser and sit in the cloud, are easy to get other people, including less technical working with and collaborating on. Now an entire team can enjoy continuous synchronization of a folder (and sub-folders) for a project. OK, enough preliminaries.

" Part of the problem, I think, is that the term "cloud" is used in a lot of different ways by a lot of different people. Full-fledged applications that live in the cloud: for example, Google Docs , Microsoft Office 365 , Zoho , or NetSuite. Offline synchronization capabilities aren't very good yet.
