So, what better way to love the earth than contributing to a charity that works on environmental issues. If you're a blogger, you can run a comment for a donation contest. And, yes they did !

Sometimes it’s a matter of zeroing in on a single aspect of your organization’s work or an unexpected story, such as two volunteers falling in love while serving soup side-by-side in the homeless shelter’s kitchen. Keep the pitch focused on the issue, not what programs your nonprofit offers to help people. Frame the issue as urgent.

John Center for Homeless Men recently did their own virtual house party peer-to-peer event called Raisin’ the Rent , with some of their participants raising over $10,000 in their house party. For instance, the Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity hosted a wildly successful Gingerbread Home Build contest, bringing in 132% over their goal.

Provoking thought and invoking emotion contributes to link earning, but you can take it one step further and give people inclusion into an exciting event like fundraising, raising awareness, or a contest.
