In the slides above, he talks about he built a culture in his organization that encourages transparency , happiness, and passion for customer service. Notice how their avatars include the zappos identity? The featured speaker was Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos. Hsieh transformed a small startup into a $1 billion business.

Jeska Linden , Community Manager for Linden Labs, has the mike in her hand, while her avatar is behind the podium in Second Life. Pathfinder gave a presentation to a small group in Cambridge , while his audio (some of the time) was streamed into Second Life along with his Powerpoint Slides. Both events had their share of clunkiness.

It was my most memorable virtual presentation as my avatar was June Jetson and I made a flying entrance into the auditorium to the tune of the Jetson’s theme song. I set up a wiki page that includes my slides , a link to a rowfeeder spreadsheet for the hashtag (#midea), and the archived recording of the session.
