The online platform has two parts: a website , where all projects originate, and a Second Life presence ("The Tech" in Second Life), where participants can communicate in real-time, share ideas, and build virtual prototypes. I’m not an expert on museums who can comment on why museums have websites and what they use that platform for. Let’s start with the basics.

We put badges on the Beers For Canada website encouraging people to Digg us and promote us on other social news aggregators. We carefully crafted website copy but didn’t think enough about who would tweet what , when. We had a great cause.
