Not too long ago, I submitted my chapter to BJ Fogg's Psychology of Facebook Applications. The chapter is an analysis of Facebook applications that help raise money or awareness or encourage people to take a social action. The winning application will receive $10,000.

Along with 3 colleagues, we volunteered to develop an entry for the Apps for America 2 contest , sponsored by the Sunlight Foundation. Entrants built useful applications incorporating at least one data feed from Data.gov , in an effort to make government data accessible and usable. Data is the next buzz-word after Web 2.0.
