This made me curious - so I ran some stats on cats and dogs on both Flickr and Facebook. Flickr has 471, 092 photos tagged with dog compared with Dogbook's 167,713 people who have the app on their profile. I don't have comparison of the same time period. Again, I don't have comparison of the same time period.

While I wouldn't know an API from Ape if it stood right in front of me beat its chest, but I have seen the results of open APIs in social media apps like Flickr. Judi Sohn has a comparison of the two approaches. Plaxo, Facebook, Flickr, Google Maps, blogging, forums???and Better yet it allows for seamless data integration.

cc licensed flickr photo shared by alumroot. Those went okay, we always get a solid core of photographers tagging and posting pictures to flickr. Flickr the Conference. We are seeing a great stream of tagged flickr photos from the conference - more than 2400 at last peek. I resisted using the title of “report card”.

Like Google buying YouTube , or Yahoo buying flickr. at 9:22 am I am not sure that I agree with your analysis. Charlie brings up an interesting point – the number of customers that Blackbaud has pales in comparison to the leagues of nonprofits who use other solutions. What kind of vendor would you like us to be?

What is really interesting to me is that the photo - which I composed and uploaded into flickr is my most commented, favorited, and viewed photo !
