I'm interested in exploring how Changebloggers, people who want to use their blogs, podcasts and vlogs to change the world, can make a greater impact through longer online events, and face-to-face meetups. Readers buy virtual raffle tickets to bid on the prize of their choice. Last year the campaign raised $62,925.12.

A couple weeks ago I asked you and the Have Fun * Do Good Facebook group for suggestions for Changebloggers, people who are using their blog, podcast or vlog to raise awareness, build community, and/or facilitate readers/listeners/viewers' taking action to make the world a better place. Should it be virtual, or in person?

The library community has a large presence on Second Life at Information Island which is where the TechSoup SL Virtual Office is located. Vlog and Blog Raising Lost in Light is a videoblog about small gauge filmmaking featuring home movies, work by artists, articles by preservationists and film scholars, video tutorials and other film gems.

An area that was impacted by the stay-at-home orders was stewardship and the use of virtual campaigns to cultivate donor relationships in place of in-person events and meetings. Many organizations reported on virtual events and expanded uses of other techniques that they hope to continue in a post-pandemic world. Expanded use of vlogs.
