I discovered that I had problem figuring out how many total feed subscribers and the trends over time because I had four feeds (three built into the typepad blogging platform) and another one in feedburner which offers the stats tracking feature. or gives them a polite apology and a 404 message). including your feeds.

I don't know how good the Typepad RSS traffic stats are, but you might want to look at reburning your feed at Feedburner.com. They have great stats and services. I think that people just beginning to learn about these subjects could really benefit from a Subscribe in MyYahoo or MyMSN or Bloglines button.
